DEMO is a multi-day festival spotlighting projects and people at the leading edge of art, design, technology, and beyond. Anchored by the work of current NEW INC members, the festival gathers creative thought leaders for a series of talks, demonstrations, exhibitions, and broadcasts that collectively illuminate emerging culture.
DEMO2025 runs from June 4–22, with the majority of festival programming taking place from Wednesday, June 4 to Friday, June 6. Track Showcases will be on view from June 4–22.
DEMO2025 is hosted by Water Street Projects at WSA 180 Maiden Lane in Lower Manhattan. It is easily accessed by the A/C, 2/3, 4/5, and J/Z trains at Fulton Street, or the 2/3 trains at Wall Street.
Our NEW INC member cohort consists of five unique Tracks, or focus areas, guided by a Mentor-in-Residence. Current Tracks are Art & Code, Cooperative Studies, Creative Science, Social Architecture, and XR (Extended Realities). Read more about NEW INC’s Tracks here.
Track Talks are short stage presentations where members share their individual projects alongside other members in the same Track. These talks culminate in a group conversation moderated by the Track’s Mentor-in-Residence.
Track Showcases are group installations featuring the work of track members that explore the guiding themes of a specific track. Each Track Showcase is organized by specialized guest curators and producers.
Note that while the DEMO25 opening program takes place over three days (June 4–6), Track Showcases are on view from June 4–June 22.
