Dan Gorelick
Dan Gorelick is a musician, creative technologist, and researcher who uses classical instruments and computation to create sonic experiences that foster connection—with oneself, each other, and the natural world.
Dan’s work explores how music, as a time-based medium, serves as a vehicle to appreciate timescales—human, biological, geological—and to promote awareness of our relationship with nature and climate. His practice draws inspiration from deep listening approaches, exploring the meditative, healing, and connective nature of sound.
His work is featured in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and has shared work with the Asian Art Museum, New Museum, Gray Area, and Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Dan is based in Brooklyn, and gives performances, talks and workshops on the creative possibilities of technology. He is a member of NEW INC Year 10 and Year 11 Art & Code track.
