Emma Osore

Emma Osore (she/her/hers) is a Brooklyn-based community designer. She establishes communities of designers, artists, and futurists that radically re-shape public policy and practice. She’s a founder and Co-Managing Director of BlackSpace, an urbanist collective centering Blackness in public design and named Fast Company's Most Innovative in Architecture in 2021. Previously she led first-of-its-kind initiatives at New Museum of Contemporary Art, Americans for the Arts, City of Beverly Hills, and DC Public Schools. She’s written about Black urbanist practice in Columbia University Books on Architecture and the City, Deem Journal, The Laundromat Project, and Urban Omnibus.
