Geneva White

Geneva White is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Scope Of Work (SOW), a talent development organization for NYC's young BIPOC creatives. SOW provides free professional development, skill-building, mentorship and access to paid opportunities to 150 creatives of color annually.

Before founding SOW in 2016, Geneva worked extensively in higher arts-education, providing her with an in-depth understanding of the many institutional barriers that young BIPOC creatives face in their pursuit of creative careers in New York City. She is also an acclaimed photographer whose work has been featured in various publications and exhibitions. She's drawn to spaces and people that are typically overlooked and underestimated. This is reflected in her photography, as well as what inspires her advocacy for young creatives of color. Geneva was awarded the David Prize in 2022, a prize for 5 visionary New Yorkers aimed at providing solutions for the city's biggest challenges.
