Sebastián Morales
Sebastián Morales Prado is a Mexican artist, engineer, and researcher based in New York City. His speculative works hybridizing robotics, networks, and living systems question the roles of technology and humans within the ecosystems we inhabit, both physical and digital.
Alongside Tiri Kananuruk, he is co-founder of MORAKANA, a studio developing critical and plausible ways for nature to reclaim the physical and digital environments we are part of. Their project Cumulus was awarded the Gold Award by the Lumen Prize.
He is also Director of Design at Toyish Labs, the studio behind the modular play system Clixo, recognized as one of the Best Inventions of 2025 by TIME.
Morales Prado’s work has been exhibited at the Gwangju Biennale, National Gallery of Singapore, Centre Pompidou, and Art Dubai, among others.
