Yamar Yoshida

Yamar Yoshida is a Tokyo based self-taught independent curator and artist rooted in a DIY ethos and the aesthetics of amateurism. His practice explores the intersections of life, art, and technology, incorporating the act of parenting into his inquiry. Through interdisciplinary collaborations, he strives to foster new relationships and create value between society and the arts.

An AR-equipped pocket tour book documenting the entire trajectory of the public art project, The Eyes of the Wind, which toured Georgia, Japan, Turkey, Greece, and Armenia from 2022 to 2024. Within the extreme constraint of 5x5x5 cm, works by 64 artists crossed borders like backpackers' luggage and were exhibited on local windowsills. This experimental attempt and the memories of walking through these cities are brought to life through AR technology.
